Anxiety has taken enough from you. Let's hit reset.
To be completely honest, this happened to me too in the early days of being a mom. I remember I dreaded nights but couldn’t figure out why. I had disturbing intrusive thoughts about terrible things happening to me and my babies, and couldn’t imagine even speaking about them out loud. My anxiety showed up physically, where I struggled to get a full breath of air but rather than understanding my symptoms, I thought I had lung cancer or something equally horrifying.
Even with two degrees in psychology, I didn’t know that I was experiencing anxiety, and that sooooo many other moms go through the exact same thing. No one really talks about this, which is exactly why I'm here right now. It wasn't until specializing in mom anxiety that I was able to recognize my own thought patterns and how anxiety was a major driver.
In time, I learned that I wasn't crazy, but that anxiety was causing a big problem in my life and I needed a solution. I picked up some incredible skills that made a massive difference, dove into trainings, read every anxiety resource I could get my hands on, and focused my entire counselling practice on these same issues. I now support moms in my therapy practice, workshops, and online resources, and I witness them transform how their life feels.
I want you to know that there’s a way through anxiety. You can come out the other side of this, and feeling this way doesn't have to be your norm.
